The product range was developed and manufactured in Christchurch, with production historically associated with local engineering firms including Automatic Lathes and earlier Shadbolt Engineering. The equipment became widely used during the post-2011 Canterbury earthquake rebuild, where reliable, field-ready testing tools were essential.

Today, the business continues under new management, with a focus on maintaining the proven performance of the original equipment while improving usability, availability, and customer experience.

All products are still manufactured in Christchurch and designed with input from experienced geotechnical professionals. This ensures that each component is practical, durable, and suited to real-world site conditions across New Zealand.
